A Break

I want to start by apologizing for my lack of blogging lately. I have definitely missed reading what's going on in your lives as well as receiving your sweet comments every day.

With this said, I am taking a little break from the blogging world. There has been a lot weighing on my heart lately.....a lot of big decisions, some let downs, and working hard to stay positive that has been keeping me very busy on top of my 2 jobs and being a wife and mama to my pup.

I am hoping it won't be for long, maybe a week or two...we'll see how long I can resist :)

A Challenge for you!

 

Yesterday was a horrible day. I'm not going to lie. It was one of those days where everything and everyone was getting to me in some way. I was feeling very unhappy with my job and education, I got very emotional and just wanted to cry...I worked 11 hours, then when I finally got home we recieved some news that totally bummed us out ...I was ready to just go bed, I so badly wanted the day to end.

When I got in bed I started to think that even with all my personal problems and the tough things I am being faced with, my life is good. It is SO good. I have the most amazing husband in the world, I have the sweetest pup who loves us even at our worst, and my family is nothing but supportive. I have a beautiful house over my head, food in my fridge, and atleast I am working even though it's far from ideal.

This song has been my go to song lately when I am feeling down. The lyrics fill my heart...

"You must, you must think I'm strong to give me what I'm going through.

Well, forgive me forgive me if I'm wrnog but this looks like more than I can do on my own.

I know I'm not strong enough to be everthing that I'm suppose to be I give up, I'm not strong enough....

Today I am challenging myself, and you, to....

-Take the time to tell someone you love them

-Give someone a hug

-Appreciate the little things in life

-Help someone in need

-Smile at a stranger, you may be the one person to make their day

-Be thankful for all the blessings God has given you

One line of that song, which is also from the bible, that I keep close to my heart is

Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things, through Christ who gives me strength."

Today I am really trying to focus on being postive, and to not dwell on the negatives in my life. I am confident in God's plan for me, and I know everything will work out in the end.

A Beautiful Winter Wedding

This past weekend my beautiful sister in law tied the knot to her sweetheart!! Their wedding was very small and intimate, and instead of the typical reception they had a fancy dinner at a high end restaurant. It was the perfect night! Here are some pictures!

Prayer Request

 

For some werid reason my computer isn't letting me view most of your sweet blogs this morning, so sorry for the lack of comments from my end!

Today I am keeping it short! I am asking for prayers from you all for my mother in law. She is having surgery today, so prayers that everything goes smoothly and she has a quick recovery!

Happy Friday! We have finally made it and have a beautiful weekend ahead of us! This weekend will be a great one for a few reasons:

-My sis in law is getting married tonight! WAHOO!!!!!!

-We don't have many plans, which means lots of relaxing with my hubby and pup!

-2 mornings to sleep in! That has been practically unheard of in my life recently!

I would have to say my guilty pleasure is reality TV....I don't know why I like to watch shows like The Bachelor, Teen Mom, and Jersey Shore..but I do!

Bare Minerals! It has done wonders for my skin!

3.If you are at a bar, what drink do you normally order?

I usually order something delicious and pretty..like this!

4. What color is on your nails right now?

Gray, but they are horribly chipped and not looking so hot!

5.What does your ideal Saturday afternoon look like?

Either shopping and grabbing lunch, or relaxing at home maybe baking and walking the pup!

6. Sweet or Salty?

Depends on my mood, I crave them both...and they are delicious together!

7.What is your biggest pet peeve?

Rude people..ugh!

8.Where is your dream vacation?

Anywhere tropical...I just want to lay on the beach with a Pina Colada and my hubby!

9.What is your favorite pair of shoes you own?

The tan heeled boots Sean bought me for my birthday!

10. If you could travel back to any decade which would it be?

The 80's for sure! Love the music and the funky style! We tried to bring it back with my bacheloretter party which was a blast!!

I honestly love just being home with my family....Whether we are cooking, being lazy, or having people over I LOVE being home!

Thursday Randoms

Happy Thursday friends! We are almost to the weekend, how exciting! My life has been super busy this week, so today I am going to let my mind go and share all the random thoughts going through it!  

~ I am offically addicted to Dove chocolate! I don't know if I am more excited to eat it...or to read the sweet quote on the inside of the wrapper! I LOVE this one today! " Discover how much your heart can hold"

~ It was -11, with a -30 wind chill this morning...high of 1 degree today. Yup...hello Winter, SOO glad you finally have joined us here in MN...NOT!

~ We went house hunting last night, and I think we found a strong contender! We are going back tonight to check it over more closely and possibly make an offer...here is a little sneak peak

~ I exercised 2 days ago, and can still barely walk today..what is wrong with me? How embarrassing that I am that out of shape, and that I am literally waddling around work.

~ Tomorrow my sister in law is getting married! YAY!! I can't wait to dress up with my hubby and watch her tie the knot. I love weddings!

~ I am LOVING these things..

Money Jar

Before anything today I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your sweet words of advice and encouragement with my job situation. I appreciate it so much, and have really taken it all to heart! I have been praying praying praying and I will keep you posted!! Last night was wonderful! Sean and I cooked dinner, drank some wine, and cuddled in for some relaxing. It was the perfect celebration of our anniversary! We got to talking about our future dreams and developed the idea of a money jar.  

 Each week we have decided to put 20-40 bucks each into the jar...and any extra change or cash we may have on hand and don't need. We will just keep filling the jar until we decide its time to fulfil one of our dreams.  One of our dreams is to travel. Neither of us have been to many places, so this is something we would really love to experience. Whether it is packing up and road tripping to the northern part of our home state of Minnesota to explore all the little towns and beautiful nature..... 

Or road tripping to our neighbor state to check out the black hills.....

 Or hopping on a plane and traveling across the country to Hawaii, or maybe even Ireland or Italy. 

I would be happy to go to any of these places with my sweet hubby...I think the company is more important than the location :)

Another one of our dreams is to own an old classic car or truck. Sean has always LOVED cars. He has also always wanted to own a classic to pull out on a hot summer day to cruise around in. I can see us riding around in one of these, this can't you?

Whatever we decide to do with our money jar will be amazing. It is fun to dream of the future and think of things we want to share together. As you can tell these past few days have been full of thinking about my future...so when I opened my Dove chocolate and saw this message today, I felt so much peace and hope.
